This intimate scene was developed from sketches made at unrelated times and places. The cellist, based on a brief sketch of renowned Anita Klein. The viola player was rehearsing in a remote Umbrian village 20 years earlier. The violinist was in a Marlborough College recital in between. The lyrical flow between them in this composition evoked Schubert to me.

What is a giclée print?

The giclée process uses a twelve colour inkjet printer with pigment-based archival inks printed on archival paper. This enables very accurate colour matching to the original artwork and unfading longevity. It reproduces oil pastel exceptionally well, creating an art print of the highest quality, worthy of a limited edition.
